Steiner Predicts
To the extent that anything Steiner forecast is important, it is important to remember that his forecasts lie beyond reason, time, and space. The culmination of everything will come with the Seven Conditions of Consciousness. [1] But these do not, strictly speaking, follow the stages/forms/etc. we have seen. To some extent they precede them. To some extent they are omnipresent. To some extent they are hidden in the future.
Our strengths are our weaknesses. I am limited by my rationalist/materialist/brain-o-centric forms of thought (which, according to Steiner, are not real forms of cognition at all). Seddon is limited by his inverse forms of my strengths/weaknesses. Steiner is limited by ... you know.
If you want to intuit/imagine/receive the inspiration of Steiner's supersensible visions, I'm the wrong guy to come to. But so is Seddon. And so is Steiner.
These are deep waters, dark, yet with an inglowing transcendent brilliance (or something). Only when you attain clairvoyance and consult the Akashic Record(s) will you know what's going on. (It is odd that clairvoyants can't agree whether there is one Akashic Record or more than one, but these are deep waters.)
The Seven Conditions of Consciousness are:
1. Saturn.
2. Sun.
3. Moon.
4. Earth.
x. 5-step pralaya.
5. Jupiter.
6. Venus.
7. Vulcan. (Yup, Star Trek fans: Vulcan. Spock. Are you there, Spock? Beam me up, Scottie.)
The End
But if you're still with me:
Each stage of evolution recapitulates prior stages. Since some stages lie ahead, all stages — as recapitulated — lie ahead. But some stages, in their early forms, lie behind. You and I have already been through Saturn, Sun, and Moon (aka Old Saturn, Old Sun, and Old Moon), and we are currently in/on Earth. After the upcoming 5-step pralaya, we will proceed to Jupiter, Venus, and Vulcan. These planets/stages will, in turn, be what we make them.
This will help: "The four Conditions of Life on Jupiter recapitulate Saturn, Sun, Moon, and Earth ... Only what on Earth lives enclosed by the human skin lives over into Jupiter. In forming our body [sic] we build a temple; in doing so rightly we form Jupiter rightly." [2]
Much of this stuff recapitulates an early Steiner book, AN OUTLINE OF OCCULT SCIENCE (see below). The teachings therein essentially recapitulate Theosophical teachings. So what goes around comes around, and what was will be, and what is to come is what is past.
(That five-step palaya may weigh on your mind. Its projected existence in the future suggests that the Stages of Consciousness are phenomenological, caught in the web of sequential temporality. But don't fall for that. All of this is way to deep for you to understand. No offense.)
If you'd like to read more about the future, try Rudolf Steiner, AN OUTLINE OF ESOTERIC SCIENCE (Anthroposophic Press, 1997), especially chapter six: "Cosmic and Human Evolution Now and in the Future." For example: "At the Venus stage, the plant kingdom will also have disappeared, and the lowest kingdom will be the animal kingdom, transformed once more ... Then a reunification of the Sun and Jupiter will take place ... [A] distinct cosmic body [i.e., a planet or moon] will break away, containing all beings who have resisted evolution and constituting an 'unredeemable moon' ... The part of humanity that has continued to evolve, however, will move on to the Vulcan phase ...." [p. 394]
An earlier edition containing much the same sort of stuff is Rudolf Steiner, AN OUTLINE OF OCCULT SCIENCE (Anthroposophical Literature Concern, 1922), available in facsimile form from Kessinger Publishing. The chapter "The Present and Future Evolution of the World and of Humanity" provides such nuggets as "Now the changes in the earthly environment of man take place in a manner which bears a certain relationship to his own evolution. When the seventh period has run its course, the earth will experience an upheaval which may be compared with the one which separated Atlantean from post-Atlantean times. And the transformed earth will again continue its evolution in seven divisions of time." [p. 395]
OK?
